If you are a geek in any form of the work either by appearance or at heart then you will enjoy this book. I have played some video games but my heart really belongs with computer games like Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein, Civilization, and World of Warcraft. I will confess that this five star rating is partially biased.

Ugh, Miranda was lucky not to have been raised by Oly. Secondly, the way she conceived her daughter, Miranda, was sickening.

Love is confusing enough for the well-adjusted. This book was provided by the publisher for reviewing purposes. I’m going to give a 3 star just because it does the extra mile of going to different ideas of dating , dealing with things going serious and breakups. Dedicated and loyal but we are also seekers of novelty. Because a computer game can get old quickly without our patches or expansions.

We don’t always agree on books but this time we all LOVED it. Whew, I was so relieved because I’ve been pushing this book on everyone for years and sometimes people do not like it. So, if you read the blurb you will know that this is the story of a family of freaks who run a freak show in their own carnival, which constantly tours the small towns of the South and Midwest. And it’s a beloved cult novel, which I had only vaguely heard of until recently. It was one of those “why haven’t I already read this?

Where she comes in is that she is trying to pay Miranda to remove her tail (the only weird part about her that Olympia insisted she keep against all the nuns’ disapproval). Mary found Miranda in the strip club she dances at and has intensions to possibly “do more” with Miranda. Olympia’s only solution, it seems, is to befriend Mary on false pretenses , and then murder her. I actually dislike Olympia more for her ridiculous blind obedience to her brother than her murder.
